The events of the year 486.
Prince Madoc gather's knights to raid the Saxons near Colchester. While Sir Patrick, Robert, and Sophie are sent to patrol the Avon river roads for scouting Saxons and regular bandits. They found an old man asking them to help retrieve his goat from atop of a dangerous looking hill. What they found was the goat was being assaulted by a three-eyed giant! The giant was tough throwing Robert and Sophie when they got within its reach and the knight's weapons were barely scratching it! Eventually, the trio took down the giant and Merlin simply said to them, "Well done. You three will do. Follow me." He led them through a strange forest that they could not identify and neared a lake inside of a circle of trees. The knights were attacked by a man who was riding a horse but they could not unseat them. They were well matched trading small blows back and forth until it challenged Sir Robert directly and ignored the others for a moment. He took exception to that and was filled with rage and stabbed through the riders head almost hitting Sophie that climbed on the horses back to try and restrain the knight. They beat the beast and turned around to notice that Merlin was coming back ashore and hid a shiny sword in his robes. They reported back to Earl Roderick and he invited them to a winter feast in their honor. During the feast Sir Patrick was singled out for marriage by Earl Roderick, Sir Robert made strides in courting Lady Adwen and for the second time, Lady Sophie has managed to find herself in a duel with Sir Amig.
