Tīr Baglām

Divider and Reformer

The Great Apostate has brought chaos and death to our world. While once we were all brothers in faith and rejoiced in one another, we now only know hatred and contempt. Such miserable wars and distrust will wither away at our strength and spirit and a day will come when God herself will unleash the ancient foe upon us, just in hopes of stopping this madness.
Teirei Aurkustelwichen, Lord-Inquisitor of the Inquisition of Athe
Tīr Baglām was a controversial and mysterious figure responsible for the creation of Baglāmēq Hūril, a radical form of the Aprēan faith that broke off from Hillenēq Hūril when the Alstiseria of Athe exiled the young theologian after branding him an apostate. Forced to flee into the Rahigina, Tīr Baglām wandered there for years, slowly refining his theological beliefs until he was at first ready to spread his teachings to some of the local Rahigi who would then later become his loyal apostles and help bring Baglāmism to the rest of Lethea. After decades of proselytizing in various realms, Tīr Baglām returned to the desert, never to be seen again.

Legacy

Tīr Baglām gave the world a magnificent gift, for which we shall be forever thankful. When man had fallen to falsehoods and unjust teachings, he spoke up in defence of the truth and now all these years later it is our honour to stand as defenders of what’s good and true.

Out of all the things that Tīr Baglām achieved in his life, arguably none ended up being more impactful than the conversion of the Federal State of Alinhas in 1447 AA. While at the time the young realm’s future and stability seemed uncertain, the federal state quickly established itself as one of the great powers of Lethea. With the wealth and influence of Alinhas, Baglāmēq Hūril was able to spread throughout the realm and beyond.

Tīr Baglāmēqaq

After Tīr Baglām ventured back into the Rahigina in 1452 AA, his followers eagerly awaited his return, but once decades had passed their hope had diminished.   Those waiting for him established the Holy Dominion of Tīr Baglāmēqaq as a counterbalance against the Alstiseriaic of Athe and to honour the founder of the faith.

Religious Turmoil

Distrust and hatred between the followers of Tīr Baglām and those loyal to Hillen's teachings has led to violence and bloodshed throughout various realms.   From small-scale concentrations on the streets to larger conflicts such the Belika Revolt and the Sarzin Conflict, religious turmoil is now commonplace in the world.

Baglamism is the second-largest branch of the Aprēan religion. Followers of the faith believe in the teachings of Tīr Bāglam, a mysterious man who sought to reform Hillenism.

What an interesting figure. I always find it interesting how religions are formed and how they spread. You're so good at this sort of thing. :)

I'm so intrigued by characters that can sway faithful minds and make a great impact — and proceed to disappear for good, even when there are people waiting for their return. Seems he's left behind quite the unrest, as well!   Also, I appreciate how nearly everything in this article is packed together and organized! Makes my brain cell happy :)
