Trotlí
The City of Unfortunate Events
No other city has been through quite as much as old Trotlí. With how many times its been burnt to a crisp or had its inhabitants slaughtered, I'm surprised that people still dwell ere behind its weary walls.
History
The city of Trotlí was founded by panedur refugees who were fleeing the Patic Purge in 865 BA. The leader of the fleeing migrants, Trinak An-Pughal, established the settlement on the eastern bank of the Altig. He hoped the river would both keep them safe from any threats that might have been following them while also providing the new settlement's inhabitants with fresh water. He called his new home Itål-Asi and proclaimed it the capital for his people's new realm, the Kingdom of Enor. The First Sack
In the year 861 BA, just a few years after its founding, the hardworking denizens of Itål-Asi faced their first major setback. A swarm of aberati, hungry for more bloodshed after slaughtering a group of Enori explorers in the Central Pass, had made their way to the burgeoning city. Unprepared to face such an onslaught, hundreds perished in the massacre that ensued as the swarm entered the settlement. The Enori drove their foes out of their home eventually, but a great cost.Destruction of Itål-Asi
After their humiliation at the hands of a newfound enemy and the sacking of their capital, the King of Enor marched north to strike back against the aberati. His hopes of victory were quickly crushed, however, as he had fallen alongside his loyal followers. The few who escaped the Slaughter of the Pass carried the foul news to Itål-Asi and panic gripped the settlement. Without a leader and much of an army, the city was defenseless against the next swarm that followed the survivors and cleansed the capital of its inhabitants.
