Elven/Human Conflict Instigation

During a time of tension in Rivertide between the elves of Ilaria and the humans of Shatia Kingdom there were peace talks with representatives from both sides, a common enough occurrence with the territory dispute. During the peace talks a group of (9) elves came into the inn, one magically disguising himself as an official member of the elf party, but covered in dirt and blood, and the rest mundanely disguised as human soldiers. The mage that disguised himself then threw a fireball into the middle of both delegations, killing them and setting the inn ablaze.
Malach and Caithyra were in the kitchen of the inn when this happened, and proceeded to flee and were pursued by members of the elf party. Malach was able to slow down and eventually defeat the pursuit, but by the time he caught up to his sister the town was ablaze and there was fighting in the streets between the elves and humans. Malach last saw the city burning to the ground in the distance.
