Islands of Tears

Demographics

The population is split between seven small islands and one larger main island. The tribes on each of the islands are small, with one tribe on each island, except for the largest island which has 3 tribes. There are no classes, but there are some different species on each island. Most of the islands consist of multiple species living together, each species having a particular purpose in the tribe. On one island there are only Aquatic Raptors, and on the main island, there is a tribe of just Volcanic Raptors.

Government

Each island consists of a small village tribe headed by a chosen chief, the chief can be an inherited or elected position. There is a head chief on the main island that oversees all of the islands. Each chief is responsible for managing his/her tribe but has to obey the rules set forth by the head chief.

Defences

The defenses consist mostly of warriors with obsidian weapons and bows. Aquatic Raptors are able to sneak attack foes from under the water, and Volcanic Raptors can attack those trying to steal any obsidian.

Industry & Trade

There is some trade between the islands based on what trees, fruit, and other resources grow on each island. Ships from all the islands sail around to transport goods from one island to another.

Infrastructure

The tribes use very primitive and simple tools, they often use the water to their advantage, building many ships for transport between islands.

Assets

There is not much of value on the islands except for obsidian from the volcano.

History

The islands were first inhabited by the Aquatic Raptors who could swim there, but later the hearts of the islands were conquered by Terrestrial Raptors who sailed in on ancient ships. Volcanic Raptors then followed, drawn to the volcano on the main island. The three groups were split at first, each living in its own designated habitat. But after fighting happened between the Aquatic Raptors and Terrestrial Raptors over who owned the beaches, many of the tribes decided to band together to make use of their differences, rather than continue fighting a bloody battle. They named the territory the islands of tears in memory of the great loss.

Architecture

Most of the buildings are made from the wood of the Rocknut trees that grow all over the islands.

Geography

The islands are tropical and have an abundance of rainforests and streams. There is one volcano on the central island.

Natural Resources

There is an abundance of fruit on all of the islands and fish in the sea. There are also a number of trees in the tropical rainforests on each island.
