Land Missiles

Land Missiles are the most advanced thing that have been developed by the Land Bound and the one thing that they allow to break their usual opinions on technology. In fact they even broke the taboo of allowing in outsiders just to develop them.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

A chemical compound that was developed to deteriorate magic in the vacinity. The casing of the missile is made to be damaged in such a way as to release the chemical into the air, which then will destroy ambient and active magics.

History

Land Missiles were developed with a single purpose, to destroy City Ships and kill the sky bound. While the missiles alone are not dangerous, at least to those on the land, they spell almost certain doom for those in the sky. They were developed and created by a Void Mage who was outcast from their home because of their very magic and took their bitterness at the betrayal with them, convincing the Land Bound that they could help destroy those above. Once they were accepted they figured out how to harness their magic and make a compound that worked much the same as their own magic, with this they then created the missiles as delivery vessels. The effect is catastrophic engine failure as well as the damage the missile itself causes.

Significance

They serve as an equlizer as far as the Land Bound are concerned, they do not like those that embraced magic and technology and wish to destroy them for their 'heretical' ways. The Missiles give them such a weapon as to do this.

Rarity

Due to the difficulty of producing them there is a limited supply, however more are constantly being made in case of an 'attack' by those above. Though this is honestly nothing more than a city ship passing above a settlement.
