Chronoficer's Timepiece

The Chronoficer's Timepiece was a powerful magical device capable of relocating at least four people to the past or present. The Timepiece was created by a version of Zangrim Tarkelby that lived in Reality 264 before it became known as the Malevolent Wastes.
According to Zangrim's grandson, Oscomb Inchgood, the Timepiece was commissioned by the Wizard-King's predecessor in the time before the One Hundred Year War. However, according to family history passed down through the years, Zangrim destroyed the Timepiece when he discovered the King's plans for it.
Many years later, when Zangrim died he left Oscomb a family heirloom and several journals. The journals explained that Zangrim could feel the Spark of Artifice inside of his grandson, and that he believed Oscomb could use that Spark and Zangrim's journals to rebuilt the Timepiece. Zangrim apologized in his journals for ever destroying the device. Pages and pages explored the guilt he felt in the face of the Rotplauge.
Oscomb studied for years, rebuilding the Timepiece from what Zangrim had recalled and written down in his journals preceding his death. Oscomb even traveled to the labratory of the powerful Chronomancers known as the Anttaiagingmedacene who created a small Black Sapphire for Oscomb which could harness and rewrite the Weave of Chronology.
Oscomb returned to the Last Forest Inn, and began his mission to dethrone the Wizard-King. However, he was forced to use the device for other purposes when the inn was attacked by Zombies. That use of the Timepiece is mentioned in Malevolent Waste, Chapter 1.
Ironically, the Chronoficer's Timepiece was eventually instrumental in stopping the Wizard-King. This is detailed in Pieces of Eight, Chapter 24.
