James' Clockwork Amulet

The Clockwork Amulet was an amulet created by Zangrim Tarkelby to give to James Wavebreaker as a thanks to the later for saving the former’s life.
This amulet would later drive Zangrim’s anger when it was revealed James was the killer of Zangrim’s brother. It would also represent forgiveness when Zangrim finally gave it to James at Tarkeltopia after the supposed destruction of the Grave Glaive.
In Amalgam, the amulet represented friendship when James kept it close to his side everyday, as he watched Zangrim stroll by every day for a year, blissfully unaware of the disaster they stopped together.
James had no way of knowing that in the Pieces of Eights final moments at Crow’s Crest, that Vencyne Amakiir had transferred the soul of Zangrim into the amulet, making it a soul trinket. Vencyne, and her mother Cynthiri, would later retrieve the soul from the amulet and return Zangrim’s spirit to a Zangrim body.
However, the leftover soul of a fresh Zangrim took residence inside the amulet. This situation that has not yet been resolved.
