Early Life
Vilnathari grew up in the undercity of Crow's Crest before the end of the One Hundred Year War. At a young age he tried Mold N Dew and became obsessed with its strong pungent flavor, he spent time in the sewers studying and consuming many different spores, molds, and fungi. This obsession led him into seclusion from all others. 10 years after the war ended, Vilnathari was traveling deep into the Rotwood Forest on a personal quest to safely consume Rotspores. This quest led him to the Last Forest Inn where he became a founding member of the Unwasteds.Time as a Member of the Unwasteds

During the battle against the Gravebound, Vilnathari was compelled to turn on his party. Suddenly and without warning, the Druid blindsided his friends with his betrayal. If not for Limonar the Light, it's likely that Vilnathari's betrayal would've have resulted in the death of every single member of the Unwasteds. As a Sporemancer himself Vilnathari was a perfect minion for the Gravebound. He was given access to a strange piece of Far Realm technology that allowed him the ability to walk across the realities. He became a harbinger of death and decay, unleashing the Rotspores onto many realities. Most notably during The Beewitcher: A Tale from Reality 2,007, an enslaved Vilnathari was present during the destruction of Reality 2007, where he killed Mordecai Wavebreaker in his battle with Mordecai's son, the Beewitcher James Wavebreaker.Traversing Tourist
Vilnathari eventually freed himself from the Gravebound's control. He ran through many worlds, searching for his friends and family. During his travels he accidentally gave life to a new breed of Mycnoids made of Rotspores. Vilnathari ran and ran. He could feel the Gravebound closing in on him as he opened one more portal. Vilnathari fell through the portal into the Remaining Realm, but he was mortally wounded. Mabel had been waiting 10 years for Vilnathari to arrive in the Malevolent Wastes, either as a friend or foe. She knew instantly that he wasn't under the Gravebound's control. In a rushed attempt to save her friend Mabel Bloodsworth infected Vilnathari with lycanthropy, but it backfired, turning him into the horrible and fearsome Wendigo. A little later, this Wendigo attacked Bela Rrostarr, ruining her life forever. Mabel would later posit to Eyrs Thonich (Bela Rrostarr) that Vilnathari's consumption of mold and spores, combined with Lycanthropy and Druidic magic made him a much bigger risk than she initially realized. In Vilnathari's final moments he apologized to Eyrs and directed Mabel to give Eyrs the potion he'd been holding on to. Vilnathari also requested Mabel "find and take care of" his family.
