Billy (a.k.a. AKA "Blood Hunt" Billy)

I'm Really Hungry
Billy tapped his fingers on the worn wood of his desk.
The secrets were getting heavier to carry.
Billy felt tired. Billy looked tired. Billy was hungry.
He shot up out of the chair at his desk and rubbed his temple again for a moment.
The headache wouldn't leave him...
It had to be the hunger, the headache was too much.
He left the arcade and walked out to the street strolling along quiet like , past the park and to the up town blocks.
Not long after Billy spotted a couple leaving the Blue Sushi Restaurant. He felt a little relief when he spotted them.
He stalked undetected until they reached the car on a side street two blocks down.
He rushed in and slammed the mans head against the hood of the car and the man rolled over the front end of the car and onto the ground.
The woman was reaching into her purse for a small pistol when Billy caught her hand and her throat.
His headache went away. She didn't even get a chance to squeeze off a round before he pocketed the pistol and licked her wounds. She slipped into the bliss and slid down the side of the car slow with a soft satisfied face.
Billy lurched towards where the man was at the front of the car and as he rolled over he exposed a large pistol and fired off three rounds before Billy grabbed his wrist and pushed the mans body to the ground holding him down with comical ease. He drank again, the scratches from the rounds not even phasing him. He squeezed his hands tightly, he heard bones break, a gasp went out but it didn't stop Billy...the anger behind the headache made him clamp his teeth down hard and a moment later the man was dead. Satisfied Billy dragged the dead man by his foot and threw him into the truck of the car. The woman was next Billy finished her off and took her life next on the edge of the trunk with her happy face.
He slammed the trunk shut and drove off.
Later, Billy pulled the car into the garage and shut the engine off.
A woman came out of the office finger wagging and starting to yell.
"I don't want to hear it Charlotte! Clean it up." She started to howl at him and he snapped his head and locked eyes with her.
He could feel the anger deep inside of him welling up like a roar.
She immediately went silent, it must have been the look he gave her...
"Handle it!"
He raked his claw along the side of the car and blew the back tire on his way out...
He caught a reflection of himself in the glass...His eyes were wild and different and filled with an amber glow... he took a moment and stared at himself in the glass... His arm was covered in a different fur near his claws. It was never like that before, something changed. He growled at it and walked off into the night.
Billy is sooo cool!
Ummm.... ok.
My name is Mickey. I've been living here for a while now. This town is pretty safe. Lincoln is like one big street kid family.
The Underpass isn't so bad either. It is a little noisy here sometimes but It doesn't get too cold at night, even with all the concrete.
It is a good collection of adults down on their luck and living in shacks made of mattresses, druggies, and us kids.
Sometimes brave kids from town come in here and skateboard because of all the stuff. They built a big track and a ramp before I ever got here.
Sometimes they come up and build something new or fix something. I slept under one of the ramps once but it is REALLY scary to wake up to a skateboard rolling over your head on the wood! Ha ha ha!
I scrounge cash at the fountain in Corrall park. The hot dog guy is nice and sometimes just gives me a hotdog or one of his bananas.
I only put my hat out during the day and on the far side of the park.
A couple of fancy types always leave some scratch and it helps me avoid the moms who always try to save me or call the police.
The cops are always dumb dicks to anyone who puts a hat down around here. The park is smack in the middle of the nice part of town, I guess, so they shuffle you off pretty quick if they get wind of you. I guess I look older now so they don't try to take me in so much anymore.
Anyway, so The Underpass. It's where I kick my feet up with a burger or a half container of spaghetti I snagged from behind Reinaldo's.
There are alot of strange people that come through here sometimes. The big guy with the dreadlocks. The sneaky lady with all the rats. The big fat old guy in the steel shack...
None of them really pay me no mind. Sometimes the dreadlock guy has a big container of meat and he shares with the adults. I get a bite or two sometimes.
But Billy he always looks sort of tired or worn down you know, like one of us, but...
He looks kind of cool, he dresses kinda nice and clean, but if you look at his shoes you know he lives in a hole somewhere like us.
They're always ratted up, floppy, and taped together like mine.. He always has something for us, but he likes to skateboard on the ramps too with the other kids. He always comes by at night to check on us but not like every day, every couple of days. He ALWAYS brings a backpack of stuff and his red skateboard with the tiger painting under it.
Socks sometimes, water sometimes, food sometimes, one time he gave me his slurpee! Thing is he only gives stuff to the kids that are out at night mostly. So I always watch for him and run over. I was suspicious the first few times I saw him I thought he was a kidnapper or something but Jessy says he is ok and never hurt nobody.
He is sooo coool. He never gets angry when someone hugs him or something and he doesn't spaz out on the skateboard ramps. He always looks happy to bring us stuff.
So can I have my sandwich now lady? I told you all about Billy... why do you want to know anyway?...
Billy's touchstone update
BHB
Daisy 19- is now 21.
She owns the petting zoo in town and has been working steadily in night classes toward her goal of veterinary school.
Since the time jump she has completed requisite courses and is moving soon to university while new employees take care of the business.
When Billy left she had a pretty hard crush on him, but Billy helped her as best he could while she taught him about animals. He would buy her books she was interested in and support the zoo with donations to keep it running. There was a minor crisis while billy was gone, but Daisy recovered on her own and really got things running. Billy only ever thought of her as a friend.
Her leaving soon means Billy will be out of connection with one of the people he relies on to stay more human.
Leaving him only with a touchstone of anger and a touchstone of sorrow left….
Another visit to Desperation.
This time it was clear. He wouldn't be able to escape their attacks so easily, in a confined space.
This time it was clear. He wouldn't be able to escape at all.
At least this time he could at least lash out, this time he wasn't held down.
As he heard the giant werewolf distraction yelling outside He couldn't help but remember his father's bellowing voice.
The dark club and the fighting ring, it looked almost the same.
The dark stone tile was black marbled with green, he was railing against velveteen chains as they dragged his lover, his son, into the room.
"My childe, you cannot have a childe, I told you it was forbidden! I told you! YOU DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION!"
The sting of his fathers hand, and the rakes hand, and then the sheriffs hands were all felt at once.
"You were told." The prince shook his head and cupped his bleeding face. "I am your only love. " He whispered. "I am all you see and feel."
Amelia was twisting at the broken limbs of the broken body on the floor, like the evil thing she was.
"We all deserve.." Billy spat his mouthful of blood onto the floor barely seeing well enough through blood stained tears in his eyes. "...to have love Father!" He felt he was righteous and strong but he just looked pathetic and broken.
The inner leadership tore at Billy, he couldn't even feel it any more just sharp blood spattered tugs on his skin. The ripped at his hair and forced him to watch as the stake went in his beautiful mate...and he was shoved into the fire.
When the grasp on his arm loosened he bolted to the fire but could only get a grasp of hair... it was all that was left.
Billy listened to the bellowing wolf from the the hayloft flexing one hand and the claws on it, and gently closing the locket he wears around the chain on his neck with his other hand.
Red eyes went glassy with the lack of emotion as he imagined tearing it's head off...
That's when the black one came out of a mirror near the bar.
Desperation
I hit the wall very hard, I couldn't tell how far I was.
I haven't been thrown like that since the prince...
I couldn't even feel my head on my shoulders.
I hadn't had a feeling similar to blacking out since I was alive. This was close and it wasn't pleasant. It was an all encompassing sound, the last of a river of blood emptying down a waterfall like the frothing howl of a flushing toilet.
I took in my pain quietly though, I think it was the only thing that saved our lives.
I could taste the blood in my mouth , Iron, Anger, and a Pale White Light.
The Hunter whispered to me "Vato, get up."
I had just bowled them over and out of the way of the silver one. It was immense, I didn't think the Hunter would survive it. I barely did. I haven't felt the pull to protect one of us like that in a long while. Things were not looking good then; That had to be two hour long minutes ago...
I thrust my hand deep into the lake of blood and pulled from it my wolf's eyes.
The darkness opened up before me.
I quickly counted nine corpses of corpses spread between the trees. I watched the strongest one get torn in half right then. I met with their eyes as they rolled and became a cloud of wafting ash.
The Hunter was about to pounce again, I tugged at their hand.
I was covered in blood, I didn't say a word, but they knew what I meant.
We ran.
Walking The Domain
I don't even think they know I'm here.
It's sad.
There are other hunters here, and they are sloppy.
I don't like it.
I don't think they watch the streets. I'll see who doesn't belong, least I can do is keep an eye out.
I wonder if they have anyone protecting what is theirs.
They already made an enemy I think, I don't like it.
There is pressure on the group to perform for the wild ones, I don't like it.
They have to carve something out, they have to carve it fast.
They look smart though, a number of plans seem like they are in the works.
There are a couple of beings I have interest in...
Flynt, he talks alot and pushes on information. He has gears and they are spinning.
Jon, looks like he has alot of anger. Doesn't like being touched. Looks like the heavy hands of the group.
Rosalie, she is the silent type. I don't have a clear judge on her yet. I see her reading sometimes.
John, he loves cars. got really angry about the one the man on the horse on the hill wrecked.
Max, he is the bouncer at the bar. Tough to judge too, I'll need to talk to him more. He carries a gun.
Peter, he might have looked steely but he smelled nervous, nervous in a dangerous way. Watered down gin maybe?
The bar is a good cover so far, but it is very exposed.
None of them seem too chatty yet. So which one is it?
Favors owed and domain granted
Today went better than I thought it would.
I'll have to watch my back closely.
My audiences went well. I've been set up on a neutral edge of town.
To stay to my word and submit to eyes on me I graciously accepted.
I can do the work I need to do here now.
I'm above an arcade... I wake up to the sounds of buttons being tapped, joysticks being thrashed, and thunderous blood pumping thought youngster's veins.
The smell of pepperoni from down the street isn't nauseating either.
I am surprised I like it here, it is restrictive, but there is so much activity. I don't even miss the trailer or the open spaces or the coyote howls.
I suppose new things are making me feel alive.
Alive enough to do the work I need to do here now.
I'll talk to one of the respected ones tomorrow...
