Mark II Gnomish Speedboat

The Mark II Gnomish Speedboat was a line of military speedboats constructed during Amled's War. It's purpose was to serve as a small and fast boat that could strike Entrenius' forces swiftly and quickly. Plus, it could also travel great distances should the need arose. At the time, the first combustion-based motors were starting to be fabricated and they were almost instantly militarized. But that was a good idea. If not for this new technology, perhaps Aliantar Boabaid and his troops would not suceed in holding off Entrenius and his many voidlings. Sadly, almost all of these speedboats were destroyed during the war (the ones that remained were either abandoned or broken down to acquire parts and materials). However, recently some pirates from Die Wöndebatz fleet found some of these abondoned boats and are now using them to their advantage.

Power Generation

Burning coal is the main source of power of the motor of this speedboat. There's a small furnace that connects to the propellers through a system of metal pipes.

Propulsion

Heat energy genarated from the combustion of the burning coal is transformed into cinectic energy that moves a medium-sized propeller.

Weapons & Armament

This speedboat usually comes with a harpoon weapon attached on its bow.

Armor and defense

Differently from its predecessor (Mark I, which was made of wood) this boatline was made almost entirely out of iron, providing more defense.

Additional & auxiliary systems

This speedboat has a wooden helm that controlls the direction to which the propellers move.
