Ahagtar Wasteland

"By comparison a desert is a hospitable land. The wind never stops blowing no matter the time of year. It has worn away all of the dirt, the sand, and the life. Only a few small plants dare to grow in the crevices worn into the bare stone. Like the skeleton of the island exposed for all to see. As I stood there I could not help but think of the mysterious beauty of this barren land. The rocks seem to sing with the wind. It was as if in the short time I spent there the wind wore away the clutter in my mind until I was left alone, serene."   -Darosi, Journal No. 2

Geography

Ahagtar is a land of barren rock and powerful unending wind. The stone is rough where the harder rock has not yet worn down. This occasionally leads to some erie formations where jagged rock juts out of the landscape filled with holes where the softer stone has worn away. Some of these holes produce tones when the wind blows through.   The wastes are located on the edge of Ratoghar . This gives a clear view of the skies around and the jungle inland from Ahagtar. The rock along the very edge is worn smooth in many places and is dangerous to approach especially during the strongest winds and during rain.

Fauna & Flora

A few plants cling to life here in small cracks in the rock. The trees grow gnarled and small. One species of flower grows here that is found nowhere else. The stunning Shagto stands out against the bleakness of the wastes.   There is no animal life in this region.

Natural Resources

The only resource of note is the rare Shagto flower. It is known for having medical properties.
