Forgers of the Strewn Sky
Amali joined the circle of people gathered in the field. They all joined hands. She felt something stir within her. The Joiner began to hum. The people, having done this many times joined in. The tune was slow and sad. The Elegy of Tellurian Unmade is the song. The Joiner began to sing the words while the others continued to hum, in harmony now. Amali was to focused on getting her part right to listen to the words but she was sure they spoke of a sad world. A world yet to be born. The sky the womb. And after the song finished and the group vegan to talk and disperse, Amali was certain that she had helped work toward the end of the suffering of the world. To help it be born.
Structure
There are a variety of roles within the Forgers. Each has a different role within the organization from working directly with communities to peacekeeping.
- Builder: It is the job if a Builder to check in with the Joiners in their area. To make sure that everyone works in unison toward the same goal.
- Grand Forger: This lone individual is responsible for coordinating actions within the organization. They make the final decisions on many things, such as dates for celebrations.
- Joiner: Joiners are the most numerous group within the organization. Typically they work in the community where they live. Their jobs are to lead the community in ceremonial song and to resolve disputes not covered by the law of the area.
- Tellurian: It is the job of the Tellurian to sing at the most important events. These individuals are thought to be among the best singers. They share their name with the world because it is believed that these will be the people who lead the song that will bring about the united land.
Public Agenda
The goal of the Forgers is to solve the problems of people because they believe by doing so the islands will come together. On this giant landmass they say there will be no conflict or sickness.
History
The Forgers had humble begins before the Time of Rebuilding. They were a small group that sought to lessen the pain of people around them.
They became very well regarded for their work and grew in the Time of Rebuilding into the organization they are at the present.
Cosmological Views
The Forgers believe that the islands have always existed. It is the duty of the people to create the united land. Creating this land will solve the problems of the world but the people must solve their problems first.
Tenets of Faith
Forgers are supposed to seek to understand others and to handle conflict with grace. They also adhere to the law of the land that they are in. However, there are numerous occasions in which there have been protests against certain laws or actions.
Worship
The specific practices vary by region and by season. It is the job of a Joiner to determine what worship rituals are appropriate for their area.
Sects
The Solemnly Timid are a group of Forgers who observe complete pacifism. They do not fight even in defense and they do not kill animals.
