Rapier
A popular blade. Long and thin.
Diwan felt the wind of the blade against his neck as it thrust past him. There was no chance it would have hit him he though to himself. He pushed the blade to the side with his own. Bahae was getting better, much better. But she still had much to learn. Before she could get back into position Diwan shoved his sword up throwing her arm into the air before bringing the tip of his sword down to her throat.
Cultural Significance
The rapier is carried by many and taught commonly in many areas. It has been popularized in novels and plays such as Love on the Skies.Manufacturing process
The iron and steel must be folded creating a softer core and outer hard shell of the blade. The blade is ground into shape then slow tempered and quenched. The final shape of the blade is created by grinding and beveling. This tang is secured into the hilt and wrapped in leather.
