Luxea, the goddess of divine light, is the current godess of light and healing. She is connected to light, hope, mercy and healing. She's in favour of those trying to help others, although her teachings to "Bring light to all the dark places", are taken literally by some. That is why she is the goddess of healers and explorers alike.

History

Luxea is one of the oldest gods and part of the original Gryphic Trinity that consisted of her, her lover Shomdon, The God of secret knowledge and their son, Leobard, the god of unity who was considered the god of royal heritage.
Luxean legends state that she was born from the moon at the beginning of time.
The Godly Council was founded by her and was the attempt, to split up all the aspects of the world by giving her powers to worthy beings. That is why, although Leonbard is her only real known offspring, she is considered the mother of all gods.
When Shomdon split from the godly council, Luxea pleaded him to stay or at least keep the peace. But he wanted power and to gather all of the secrets that the arcane offers. After the other gods got involved, what started as a lovers quarrel, evolved into the winged wars.

Worshippers

There are two major groups of believers in Luxea.
One of them takes her teachings metaphorically and tries to help those, suffering from "dark times". Those belonging to this group are mostly healers and generous nobles, using their wealth and power to help those in need.
The other group takes the teaching literally and has taken up the task of exploring the world and all of it's "Dark Places" in Luxea's name. The boldest explorers and cartographers are part of this group.
