Aether Sensitivity
Aether Sensitivity is the nomenclature given by the Arcanium to designate a being who has the ability to perceive the flow of Aether in any fashion. This ability can manifest in different ways, the strongest being those of the Arcanist that can directly manipulate Aether to bring form and essence to the power this includes Wizards, Sorcerers, Bards, and Warlocks. The next class is known as Channellers and they are those who consciously or subconsciously are able to manipulate Aether into limited forms or enhance their body and/or mind in different ways using Aether. This usually includes such as Rangers, Monks, Artificers, and Blood Hunters. The final class is known as Sensors who have the ability to senses, read, follow, or even see the flow of Aether but are unable to manipulate the power in any way.
The Otemus Arcanium requires only those classified as Arcanists to submit themselves to training and marking. Channellers while able to access and use Aether are severely limited and after many years of debate, discovering training does not work well with channellers, and difficulty identifying them, the Council ruled they do not pose a significant enough threat to require force training and control. In the early days, it was thought that Divine powers manifested through the use of Aether as well, but experimental attempts to sever divine casters from magic failed completely.
