After shopping, Ewan heads to the Sherrif station and questions him, learning of many camps in the woods of hunter groups, that a drunk had recently been kicked out of town, and that Daia was seen in town recently. Everyone eventually gathers at the tavern to discuss what they have found including sharing the news of the new missing child, Elias. Elias described as a ~13/14 years old, gnome, black hair, greenish eyes, 3 ½ ft. tall, tan skin. After some fun and discussion, everyone made their way to bed.
In the morning Miriele and Asai head to Elias's home to interview their parents. Learning that the boy had just vanished one morning from his room and the only evidence they could find was a scuff mark on the window sill. They did notice another house had a direct view of the boy's bedroom window. They also learned that the other two more recently missing children have been gone for nearly two years now and both of those families have moved away from Rylye at this point. Further information revealed that Daia had arrived seven days ago and left on an errand two days prior to today. By estimates of how the collections of arcanist go, Daia should return the next day if she is keeping a schedule. Investigating the abandoned house they find that someone has been spending time in there with a recently used fireplace and relatively new refuse.
Eventually, the party again calls it a day. They come up with a plan to keep an eye out in all directions for Daia to return to town and either follow her or try and capture her and go to bed. The next day, the party takes their stakeout places around the outside of town. Evening rolls around and Daia is spotted entering the town and makes her way to the Martins home. Miriele and Asai eavesdrop on the conversation between Daia and her parents. Elias's mother crying and upset as she can't say where her son went and that Daia will have to declare him a Volitate. Leaving the family distraught Daia makes her way to the tavern for dinner. The party goes for dinner as well and traps Daia in conversation trying to get reactions out of her. Miriele tries to get Daia drunk, only succeeding in inebriating herself. When Daia finishes up her dinner, she excuses herself and heads out into the evening with Xenovu, Asai, and Stig following stealthily. As Daia reaches the northern exit of the town, she summons a phantom steed and mounts it. Just as she settles in and about to slap the reins, the party attacks a bolt of lightning slamming her off the horse but she manages to maintain a hold on the reins and tries to get the horse to drag her away. However, she doesn't make it far because she is knocked out by Xenovu and tied up. The group starts heading to the abandoned house with their tied-up prisoner.
