Sin Eater

Sin Eater is a drug locally produced in Gravefellow that inhibits memory production. The typical dose lasts about an hour, but dangerously high doses can extend this to a day. It is often taken before people do things they don't want to remember or will feel bad about later, such as adulteration, robberies for necessary goods or money, or murder. Notably, this memory loss even prevents the truth from being revealed with spells such as Zone of Truth, as the imbiber truly has no memory of the events that occurred while under the influence of Sin Eater. However, they may be aware of what happened through other means, which would still be detected by Zone of Truth. Sin Eater sees common use among permanent gangsters to create alibis as well as for temporary gangsters doing something for money on behalf of a gang they don't otherwise have an association with.
The memory inhibition also inadvertently interferes with the addiction process, and this drug is nearly completely non-addictive.
