The Drakkaa religion is thought to originate with migrating human bands from the north. At the time, the Drakka they say was a warlike culture following warlike gods. These gods were war-gods, standing in undefeatable power in the thunderheads, wielding bolts of lightning to smite any foe. The Drakka drank the holy nectar of Umarra (a psychoactive brew derived from the Umman plant) and charged fearlessly into battle, frenzied and unafraid. The Drakkan armies were undefeatable, so the tales are told.
The greatest of the war-gods is Darva (
giver of cows in Old Brahainni), and He awarded the Drakka when battles were won. The Drakka took every spoil from defeated foes, and their people were greatly wealthy.
The Deities below describe the Drakka religion well. There are two sections, the War Drakka and the Nature Spirits. The latter are left over from long ago, and still respected, especially by rural or wilderness Brahainni clerics that still appease and defend them.
