ENCOUNTER I
- Traveling troop of Seven Scrampem Dwarves, one bard and six seasoned performers... Will want to set up and have a mumming play for he party. They love any audience they can find, and besides, they're tired from their travels. They're on their way down to Tennka, then to Broond, and they hope to set up a theater in Kuttosi eventually. The play may have something to do with the current campaign plot.
ENCOUNTER II
A series of holes in the moutainside, like extremely old mining tunnels or even old Dwarven dwellings, long since left to ruin.
- Old roads detected up, leading far up to the holes, very old and cracked, brush growing up through them.
- Meet with an old grizzly bear mother who stops you in the road. She is concerned that her cubs have been taken there.
- "Please see if they are there, and rescue them if need be."
MORLOCK LAIR, complexity might vary
- an old dwarven small town, plus a mine
- (Dwarven Morlocks)
- Took the cubs back to a main, innermost room to be sacrificed or eaten or something...
- Morlock lair decided based on PC situation, story, or motivation... Cubs rescued and receive mother's blessing
- Morlock deity a warp of Eskil; possibly a part of the adventure into the caves
ENCOUNTER III: TEMPLE TO RONJA
No non-dwarven group admitted (planar scions?)
(ritual combat to reach othe inner-most sanctuary)
Two Dwarven priests to Ronja standing in vestibule
- Offer ablutions, four elements
- On the wall facing the entrance is an enormous square, divided into four squares. Each section is a different color: brown color, then the others blue, yellow, and red.
- To reach the worship hall, step through the square and down a long, earthen tunnel
- On fresh earth; the earthy smell is a rich loam.
At the end are two branches. One is to the worship hall, fashioned all of earth, with a great Earthen square on the front wall.
- There are earthen tables and earthen chairs: All of earth
- There is a nectar distilled from basalt rock (Rohn)
- Sit at tables and talk quietly, or not talk at all, and drink the Rohn
- Absorb the Earth Energy. (stay six hours, +1 FORT for an hour after
The other branch leads to an earthen dead end, on the other side of which is a __________ with which to do battle.
- With success comes a gift from Ronja (most likely Rohn or the like, which will give a +1 FORT for an hour after imbibed)
THE RONJA MOUNTAIN TEMPLE (MAIN TEMPLE TO RONJA) and the SKULL OF YORSA
In the Main Temple to Ronja, high on Ronja Mountain, the tabernacle contains an enormous Grizzly Skull,
the Skull of Yorsa, an item of great power
- It is used to add energy to prayers and magic
- But it also is known in deep history--among certain branches of lore--to contain a cure for Werebear lycanthropy. Even just touching it will cure the afflicted for good.
- The Dwarves are unwilling (and have always been unwilling) to give it up, to remove it from the tabernacle
- And now Werebear-ism is spreading like never before
- The werebears harbor righteous indignation, and four of their mightiest have challenged the Dwarves of Ronja to come down and parley, or fight.
- If this does not happen, the werebears will ascend the mountain to take the skull themselves, enlisting the power of seven grizzly bears as well
