Coins used throughout the Empire, but only standard in the west
The gold in a golden Spherka is worth two gp melted down.
The lead in a led Spherka is work 5 cp or more, depending on who's buying
Spherka can be made of any other substance, varying in value depending
Coins and Monetaries
Minted in Tellarus
- Platinum piece: “a palace”
- Gold piece: “a crown”
- Silver piece: “a flag”--square coin
- Copper piece: “a dagger”--square coin
- The further east you go, the more you’re likely to just use mundane names, and the more the coins are not standardized, although you will definitely come across Imperial coins, even all the way east to Lewellyn.
“Trade Bars”
Minted in Tellarus and sometimes by individual merchants. The bars hold their mint stamp:- Denomination used in large purchases usually, but also smaller trades: Metal “Trade Bars” (5” long, 2” wide, 1” thick (2 lb.) or 6” x 3” x 2”, either: bulk L)
- 2 lb. Silver Bar (10gp)
- 5 lb. Silver Bar (25gp)
- 5 lb. Gold bar (250gp)
“Money Dice” or “Money Beads”
- Un-regulated but often accepted as currency across Aligoria:
- Trade-dice, or Beads
- Pink Sandstone: 1 cp
- Copper: 2 cp
- Ivory: 1 sp
- Silver: 2 sp
- Agate: 1 gp
- Turquoise: 1 gp
- Gold: 2 gp
- Platinum: 5 gp
- Ruby: 50 gp
OTHER COINAGE
Dwarven Coins,
- larger but perfectly wrought with a rune for each (rune for "gold' "silver" etc.)
- Rare outside Dwarven lands
- Usually not used outside
- Dwarves will honor Aligorian coins

Elven Coins, slight and polished
- Some collectors will buy them for more then their "monetary" value
- Slight, with a charming glint, as if polished to perfection
- Bear trees or floral designs (coins still worth the same amount)
- Very rare to see an Elven Copper.... Deal mostly in gold and silver, and sometimes platinum Zephyran
- Standard coin size and weight, very carefully matched to Tellarus.
- All minted with a round-edge shape, and stamped with the 'Z' rune
- Some have holes in the middle so they can be strung
