Roseilorn
Roseilorn are flora adorned fox-like creatures, though their ancestors were more equine in nature. All Roseilorn are born with a crystal eye that later blooms into a rose (or other flower/plant) as the Roseilorn comes of age. Roseilorn are typically between 5'6" and 8' tall, their elongated legs often giving them a boost in height, especially for Roseilorn with hooves. Their fur is soft and thick, concentrated around their hips and neck, though many trim, thin, or shave it down depending on the climate they live in. A key feature of Roseilorn are the soft, silky (and sometimes curly) drapes of fur that grow from their arms and legs, creating a curtain effect around their hands and feet. Despite being iconic to their species, Roseilorn are known to shave both of these as well.
Magical creatures, they are in tune with nature, and have an affinity for controlling plant life by making things grow, using flora as a defense, imbuing plants with magical, and sometimes healing properties, etc.. The flowers they bloom from their eye can be used in medicines and teas, but taking too much from any flower, or removing the entire flower from a Roseilorn's eye, can result in sickness, or even death.
Magical Ability
Roseilorn are inherently magically adept, though most are only proficient in healing and life magic without magical apparatuses and boosters (such as crystals and spoken spells.) They can use petals from their blooms to make potions and medicines, and teas exported from Roseil are often in high demand in other territories. Because of this, while they can be skilled at a vast array of magic, Roseilorn tend to focus on nature and healing based magic. They are especially fond of using magic to grow flora for their own teas, medicines, and even alcohol and food.
Rarely, there are Roseilorn born who are attuned to a specific elemental magic (like fire, water, earth, etc.) These Roseilorn are typically drafted by those in the Heavens to serve as their military force and enforce their laws throughout Roseil.
Society
Roseilorn society is incredibly class based, at least within Mount Roseil. The self-proclaimed highest class Roseilorn live up in Kazaka, the cloudy summit of Mount Roseil known as the Heavens, and they do their best to rule over the majority of society within Roseil. They believe they are the only truth and the most worthy of Roseil's blessings.
While most Roseilorn living in the lower levels of Mount Roseil are open to and friendly with other species (especially in the Abyss, where it isn't uncommon to see other species co-habilitating with Roseilorn peacefully), those in the Heavens do not allow outsiders, even of their own kind, within their tightly guarded summit fortress.
Outside of the Heavens, and especially beyond Mount Roseil, Roseilorn are friendly and even a bit rambunctious. They love to party, drink, and make merry, so festivals are often happening throughout their land for one reason or another.
