Cosa Unit MG1-6378-9 Ramone
Cosa Unit MG1-6378-9 Ramone (a.k.a. "The Needle")
Cosa is an MEX-1B prototype jet who's mass production was denied, but despite this, he's made himself a household name in the sports of air-catching and aerial acrobatics.
Physical Description
Facial Features
Within his supernova livery is painted a ton of stars, and some are painted in clusters behind his dominant optics that make it look like he has freckles.
Identifying Characteristics
Cosa is the kind of plane you could pick out in a crowd of a thousand, with his almost painfully bright nova paint-job and near unique build as a prototype.
Physical quirks
He's one of the uncommon sorts of LAI that likes to express emotion with hand signals with their utility arms. It's become a habit at this point, but he reportedly started doing it because he wanted to be more readable and relatable to his human fanbase. In general, he's just very animated in his movements.

Personal history
Cosa was activated as an MEX-1 "B" variant prototype jet made by the Livastian Alliance, and he was supposed to be destined for greatness as the next generation of fighter, but after he and a few fellow prototype variations were created, their program was discontinued because they were just too expensive to consider viable mass production. After overhearing all his life how amazing he would be, and how many of his kind there would be, he was understandably left pretty heartbroken. He stayed at his "birth"-hangar for about a year until going off on his own to try and find a greater purpose for himself than just a poster child for the jet that never was.
He thought he'd tried just about everything: any notable trades jobs, small businesses, various volunteer jobs, none of these ever stuck to him, having lost interest in a span of months. That was, until he first heard of air-catching. He'd heard of it in passing, but never bothered to look into it all that much, but he'd seen a flyer near his home town that advertised applications for a local team. What was there to lose? He'd tried everything else, maybe sports would be interesting. From there, it seemed like everything clicked; Why was he trying to avioid using his abilities as his model? All that time spent trying to forget about his heritage due to something he had no control over he'd paid for in never being able to anything that was worthwhile to him, but now, it felt like he'd found home.
Cosa would quickly make a name for himself in Air-catching, and later in Aerial Acrobatics, and in 2072, at only six years old, he would break the world record for smallest object successfully recovered in Air-catching, a wedding ring dropped from approximately 8,000 feet. This is the feat that earned him the nickname, "The Needle."
