Concubinage

Concubinage is practiced among rulers of several cultures around the world. In these cultures, while marriage is considered a sacred bond, so long as a ruler's wife takes priority, he can have three concubines as well, but his prestige suffers if he does not have the minimum number of concubines expected for his rank.
Unlike marriage, concubinage does not yield alliances.
