Huscarls

Huscarls are heavy infantry men-at-arms regarded as the masters of the shield wall, which they use to block incoming volleys of arrows.
Husarls are equiped with chain mail, metal helmets, shields, and battleaxes.
Huscarls are most effective against archers and spearmen. They fight best in forest and taiga and during normal and harsh winter effects. They do not pursue routed enemies effectively.
Huscarl units are formed in groups of a hundred men when at full strength.
