Longship

Formidible seafaring vessels, longships were invented by the Midgardians and provide them with exceptional mobility on the seas when compared to contempory ships. Fear spreads wherever they are sighted on the horizon.
Due to their shallow draft and lightweight construction, they are capable of traversing major rivers as well as the rough weather and waters of the open ocean and can be portaged across land.
Longships are long and slender wooden ships with sails of wooven wood. Their bows are often decorated with carved, stylized figureheads. When carrying warriors, they hang their shields along the top rail on either side.
