Traveling
At times students can get permission to leave campus and travel home to see family. Students must first provide their primary instructor with a travel plan and prove that they have the means to cover their transportation. Details on the different means of travel available to students can be found below.
Commercial airships- 1 gp per mile
- Commercial airships have predetermined flight paths and ticket prices are determined by how many miles the customer wishes to go.
- Commercial airships are the fastest form of travel, and every province has a landing port for airships.
- Speed = 20 mph
- The second fastest way around Shirdal, the entire country has a network of tracks that link all of the provinces together.
- Trains are unable to go directly to a location and must follow tracks. This means that a ride from one end of the country to the other can take double the time an airship would take.
- Speed = 30 mph
- Slowest form of travel, horses have to be returned to the town they were rented in and you have to feed them while traveling.
- Horses are great to get to small villages nearby big cities
- Speed = 5 mph
