Amixsak

A haunting spirit which results when proper respect isn't given to a walrus kill. Known for attacking umiak (hunting canoes) and killing hunters. Prevented by removing the skin from the flippers of a walrus kill.
Finding and burning the original skin or the body of the amixsak itself should banish them. We haven't had much chance to test it, though. -John
