For the most part, hunters research, track, and locate paranormal disturbances and eliminate them with as little fanfare and public interference as possible. Many of them are also magically talented, but it is not required to take up the hunter's mantle.

Most hunters carry a toolkit in their vehicles which commonly contains the following:
  • shotgun
  • pistol

  • mirror (usually silver)

Hunters are highly individualized, so their preferred weapons and specializations vary from person to person. Some carry swords and knives, crossbows, magically imbued tools like staves or rods, brass knuckles (often silvered) or more exotic tools like stingray whips or divination tools.

Materials

Many hunters make a point of carrying supplies of holy water and salt with them when they go hunting. Depending on the subject of the hunt, they may also carry grave dirt, magical catalysts, garlic, wolfsbane, or dead man's blood.
