Let Flame be a Guide
Unkown at time of writing
To believe is to be, and to be is the purpose. Recently I'm losing touch with the parts of myself I once held so dearly. Adranus is creativity, surely. His flame has guided me for longer than I once believed. Only recently with the advent of the ring and the Crystal Keepers was I able to put his divine grace into words. But often I feel I don't deserve this. The good, the bad, not any bit of it. What hells have I inflicted upon others to deserve this punishment? I fear that witnessing seven consecutive days of the unceremonious destruction of the city I grew to love has left me irreparably damaged. I see why the rest of the party acts the way they do... At least it seems our fast companionship, which I've grown to deeply cherish, is as enduring as the trauma that forged it in the first place. Apparently a year-and-a-half has gone by. I hope Paxton has made use of the time. A year means a lot to a young man.
Musings on the Day
20th Octobris, 225 ADW
To summarize today's contingencies and vicissitudes:
Magnus in front of me as we port into the Temple of Adranus (ask Matt/Adranus/Chronus about that??)
Plating on older robots vastly different than that of his more contemporary compatriots (Oscar wheels rather than feet. *Haven’t read much about machines with sentience… these have their own free will.*
–Torren has read of men made of metal; previously assumed them to be products of enchantment…
Central forge is very large, the heat is welcoming and not overpowering. Arch to the left of the forge, opens up into the supposed center of some sort of volcano.
*Everywhere I look, inscribed on the floors, into the pools of lava… all COVERED in Celestial. About Adranus; fire, inspiration, creation… centering one’s intelligence.
OS29BDW (Oscar; oldest of his kind at this temple. Keeps the Creation Forge… known as “Warforged.”)
AX220ADW
Stepping out from alcoves/archways in single file lines… ~87 Warforged. Evolution of design is evident looking at this group… some look even newer than Ax, etc.
Seneca created the Chaos Diamond… considers us trustworthy, and has informed the Temple of this.
100 were initially made, for the war, to end the first age. After this, they secluded themselves here; the ones who chose not to have died or vanished into history.
Linus Landstein learned of mind altering magic from this forge; he once knew of Adranus. Him and Matthew came to them, against their will, and asked for their memories to be removed. Wanted to erase their mental connection to a being in an unknown plane (ASMODEUS)... tried to erase him out of their mind.
122 ADW, claimed he was bringing light to Adranus’ followers, claiming he needed a tablet to vanquish Asmodeus… 10 were sent to supervise him, but the trace vanished.
Message sent, from Astrid, years ago: “We’re friends of Warforged in Ursa, we’ve recovered one, but the rest are gone. Magnus has chosen the Dark God. We shall flee North, to Merak.
*Wendell: not a being created entirely by this forge… rather by Jonas (the half-orc).*
Settled down in the Temple for a few hours, preparing to embark on our quest for knowledge towards Modessa and her purported wisdom
