In either case, make a ranged attack against a target, treating the holy water as an improvised weapon. If the target is a fiend or undead, or a magic item associated with the fiendish or negative energy planes, it takes 2d6 radiant damage. Regardless of the creature type, if it is Ignited, splashing the water ends that condition.
Holy water is also used as an ingredient in many potion recipes.
