Bard
What is the greatest sign of a great civilization? The art it produces. In Loom a bard can perform in massive theaters, stadiums, and still reach the rest of the world through the weave. They have fans who would do anything for them, and critics needling at them.
Bard Colleges
College of Creation: Animators. A bard graduate of creation can literally create objects through the power of song. At higher levels, they can bring those objects to life. The current artistic wave is to make these objects as unreal as possible, and whole orchestras of these Bards are conducted to create fully animated experiences that must be seen to be believed. College of Eloquence: Public speakers, lawyers, newsmen and women. A bard graduate of Eloquence has trained to captivate, entertain, inform, through their voice, appearance, and body language. Less artistically inspired than other bards. College of Glamour: Influencers, actors, models. The most attractive people on Loom. It's not just the fey magic that makes fans want to serve these bards, some of them are truly as talented and kind as you'd hope. But not as many as you'd like. College of Lore: Writers. Witty people who are most useful in combat for tossing out insults. College of Swords: Imagine duelist WWE. In the old world, people would solve their differences with a swift duel to the death. In the new world, big personalities step across massive stages to settle beefs with overblown and fanciful duels full of flourish. College of Valor: Documentarians. Investigative journalists. They prefer to unveil true stories to the world rather than create them out of whole cloth. College of Whispers: Con men and women who use their charisma to take what they want and give nothing back. The College of Whispers has no physical campus, it's an on-weave degree program.
