The Bonner Boys must infiltrate the Arbonese Forest and The River King Ulorian's castle to steal treasure enough to bring all the dragons together.

Getting into the Elf Prefecture isn’t as easy as it used to be. Ever since Virescent took control the borders have been locked to non-Elf citizens. They’ll need to be smuggled in, which is why the party finds themselves in a small port seeking a ride.   Indigo gets into contact with Braes who, along with Demi, has been researching what the other dragons covet. They tell the party to steal a relic of the “Pearl Tower” for Sable, whatever that place is, Ulorian the River King’s crown for Sanguine, and the figurehead of the River King’s personal riverboat for Ivory.   They meet Delilah, a middle-aged riverboat captain, who offers to sneak them into the Elf prefecture. It becomes clear she knows more than she’s letting on, but there isn’t the time when they reach the Elf checkpoint on the river. Delilah dons a hat of disguise, making her look like an elf. She hides the party below deck and the checkpoint guards search the ship with a Green Guard Drake, a hulking draconic hound. Something brand new. This one’s saliva is poisonous, but luckily the party powers through its effects.   They reach Duintal, where three rivers meet, one from out of seemingly nowhere. They enter in disguise and invisibility. The party splits up, Lyr and Daryl swimming up the center river to wherever it goes while Indigo and Danger head for the River King’s study. There they see him meet with The Moonlit King. The River King suggests that the Moonlit King’s relationship with the Queen of Night and Shadows is merely so she can dominate him. The Moonlit King takes offense. As their petty argument continues, Indigo steals the River King’s crown.   Meanwhile, Lyr and Daryl swim up the river until the freshwater turns salty. Their route clears and they find themselves in an ocean. Impossible. Before them, a tower of pearl descends into the deep depths and ascends beyond the surface. In the center, a community of Tritons lives. They question what Daryl and Lyr want. Lyr steals a tapestry off the wall and they run.   The mountains of Kriegcastel begin collapsing in on themselves. Indigo and Danger see Sanguine rise from the rubble triumphant. And yet, there are bigger problems. The River King activates a bridge and walks up the middle river. They follow until the king stands between both halves of the party. He calls them thieves and raises the river to send them flying.   Until the Moonlit King catches Indigo by the leg. Time slows while he takes them into the Shadowfell. He asks again for Indigo to join him. If he says no, the Moonlit King will drop him, either into the empty riverbed of the Shadowfell, or the escalating danger of Duintal. If he says yes, the Moonlit King will help Indigo’s party escape with their last treasure. There’s no talking out of it. Indigo accepts.   The rest of the party is teleported onto the riverboat and escape on it with that third treasure. Still, Indigo isn’t there. Unsure of what to do, the party heads for the Council of Dragons.
