The Bonner Boys meet up with the resistance effort against The Fey Court, and meet the drow Imdril. They create a plan of attack to overthrow their nation's new masters.

On a frigid wintry night in the Taiga, a dark elf waits until his prey is sound asleep. A set of snakes whose venom he intends to use for poison arrows. What Imdril doesn’t expect is the massive Titanoboa rising up behind him. Their fight takes them to a campsite in the woods where Daryl, Danger, Mirian, and Indigo leap into the fray. Danger cuts the Titanoboa in half to finish it and all five become surrounded by resistance fighters led by Tillon. Despite Imdril’s objections, he now has to come with them to the resistance base. He grabs the snake venom before they go.   Tillon tells the group how she switched sides after staying with the Paladins. She takes them to an abandoned mansion in the woods. Indigo stops at an ornate name adorned on its exterior wall. Forrester. This was an estate that belonged to Ludomir’s family and where he first started practicing druidic magic.   Braes catches the party up on what’s happened. There was a battle at Citadel in which the Bear King trapped Cerulean in the Feywild. The gold, silver, and red dragons are all shadow dragons now. Earlang is in a safehouse in the Steppes with Snowhide and Leonis Justus. Cole has been comatose since encountering the Moonlit King during a disastrous attack on the Tower of the Moon. The Fey Lords have instituted a racial hierarchy with dragonborn at the bottom. Shadar-kai and eladrin are placed at the top. Indigo makes a to-do list. He adds Meriele’s tree made of cold iron to it, which he remembers hiding in the shadowfell side of Rainfall.   Mirian senses allies of the moonlit king in the mansion but can’t seem to find anything when he looks around except insects and rodents. Indigo and the others find Darakhul with a coffin built out of the charred remains of the gold tree. They ask Darakhul what’s inside and he calls it a weapon of mass destruction. He’s making it with the Book of Vile Darkness.   Mirian looks closely at a rodent and notices the silver ring in it’s eye. It’s a druid. Moonlit druids shift to humanoid form all over the base and start destroying things. The mansion is rocked, the coffin falls and breaks open. Indigo moves around to find Emerline inside. She hugs him for comfort. She doesn’t know what Darakhul has done to her, she’s been in there since he found her at the Tower of the Moon. He calls her a Lich.   The party takes the fight against the druids outside, but then Samson appears as an archdruid. The party and Imdril all work together to take him down in a big fight. Indigo keeps Samson alive, but then Emerline comes out and tells them she’s hungry. She casts a spell called power word kill that instantly kills him, opens a small wooden box, and consumes Samson’s soul.   Braes takes on dragon form and defeat the remaining druids. He tells the party they all need to escape somewhere because the Fey will be there soon. The resistance scatters and Daryl offers the party and Imdril a respite at the Pearl Tower. After all, they should bring Birinj back to help save Cole. He uses the Amulet of the Planes to take them there. Indigo gets an idea and brings Samson and Emerline with them.
