The Bonner Boys reunite with Leonis, Snow Hide, and Danger's son Earlang "Wang" Grassyash somewhere off the grid.

In the dead of night, the Bonner Boy's path comes across a checkpoint. Everybody takes cover and tells Imdril to go through it while they sneak around. If anything goes wrong he should shout “ooga booga!” and they’ll fight the eladrin and shadar kai at the checkpoint. Imdril goes to the checkpoint.   “Hi, do you have your papers?” “Uhhhhhhh OOGA BOOGA!”   Everyone attacks the guards. One eladrin nearly escapes, though if she does then the Fey Lords would know they’re back. Emerline teleports her back to them, but they have to stop her from eating the guard’s soul. She’s becoming increasingly testy over the group stopping her.   The party arrives at the safe house, aka the old couples home from Chapter Seven: “Wayward.” A five year old boy gardens out front, half goliath with hints of human and orc. Earlang "Wang" Grassyash.   Earlang doesn’t accept Danger as his father at first but he’s quickly convinced. He lets most of them inside the boarded-up house. Leonis Justus brews tea inside, looking far worse for wear than ever before. He hasn’t been outside in years and closes his eyes when he gets a glimpse of the party. Ever since Gould became a shadow dragon he’s been trying to peer through Leonis’s eyes. He can’t know where they are or look upon the party. But he can bump around until he finds the door to Snow Hide’s room.   Snow Hide lays on her bed, growing scales over half of her face, deformed and breathing with great labor. The Snow Queen has been torturing Ivory and forcing them to activate the bond. Snow Hide has pushed the bond so far it’s starting to churn up her insides. Danger comes up with the idea to reincarnate her just like they did Samson and runs out to get Indigo. Leonis opens his eyes to look out the open door. His eyes are pure black, the gold shadow dragon looks through them.   The wind turns cold, the eladrin take on their winter form, those mummified men encircle the farm to watch, and the Snow Queen teleports in. She attacks with Ice Maidens and frost themed fey called Belli. They freeze up party members, making them more and more exhausted. The party hides Earlang and fights the Snow Queen. Indigo tells Danger they can reincarnate off of a single body part. Emerline consumes an eladrin soul. Danger apologizes to Snow Hide and kills her. He cuts off her finger and returns to the fight, but it’s Indigo who scores the killing blow. When the Snow Queen dies the entire room is covered in permafrost.   They’ve killed a Fey Lord. Five to go. But now the Fey Court knows the party is back.
