University of Mages

The University of Mages one of the only places that teaches magic in a educational format. The University of Mages has chapters all over Thraen but its headquarters is located in Ugadhol's capital, Koga Gedad. The University of Mages used to be located in the High Elven nation of Ar Nehel'feer before going to Ugadhol because Ar Nehel'feer had began to stagnate in magitech development. The University is split into several section, applied magic, theoretical magic, planar magic, magitech research and development, and many more. The University is headed by a council made up of seven ninth tier mages. The University commonly rent out its mages to nobles and nations that can afford its services and are currently at peace with the nation that its headquarters is in, which currently as stated before is Ugadhol, the Orc Empire of Ero.
Many see the moving from Ar Nehel'feer to Ugadhol as blasphemy since most believed orcs to be savages but with the uniting of the archipelago of Ero under the Ugadhol Clan they are able to surpass the magitech findings of Ar Nehel'feer, quickly becoming the magitech center of the world.
Sokolov and the United Coalition of Goblinoid States are one of the only nations in the world without a Branch of the University of Mages. Sokolov doesn't trust the mages from there enough to remain loyal and the UCGS wants to be entire self sufficient when it comes to mages. They both have their own University of Mages with Sokolov consider on par and the UCGS being inferior.
Einhorn has both the University of Mages and it's own version exclusively for Nobles known as the Royal Academy of Einhorn.
