Eterios, also known as Hataja (an evolution of the word "promise" in the divine language), is the name of the continent where the stories of are currently taking place. It is named so by the humans due to the high concentration of Ether once the principles of magic were discovered.

The Origin of Ether

In ancient times, the Elves were the only ones able to use magic, besides the Dragons. For the humans of antiquity, the light and warmth of the spells these beings were able to create "from thin air" led them to worship them as divine beings.
