Magic is the creation of something that does not exist through the use of Ether or Mana; once created, it exists and, depending on the methods of creation, can either endure or extinguish. Magic follows different laws than Mana or Ether once it exists, even though its creation is entirely dependent on these phenomena. Even today, much about it remains unknown, to the extent that even this definition is debated by those who study it.
