The Great Duel

Long ago, the four heroes leading the Great Empires met on the field of battle to end the Great War. The rumored stage of this duel was never discovered, and for 1000 years the lands still rest, untouched by the hands of time. Four legendary weapons still wait for worthy heroes to discover them. It is said that the heroes who find these weapons will be able to unite their lands once more, but will be cursed to fight once more on the fields.

Summary

During the climax of the Great War, the four heroes; Millea, Goff, Donn, and Purah, ventured across the Sea of Dreams to a land where the four of them could battle to their fullest, in order to achieve victory for their lands. According to legend, the Great Duel lasted for 12 days and 12 nights. No one knows who won the battle. Many believe that it was a stalemate, and victory was never fated to be decided. Others gather around the heroes of their land, claiming that they must have won and no other outcome would be acceptable. Fights still break out over it today, however the Great Duel is a tale that will be forever told to all children.
