The Northern Reaches

The lands of ice and snow are home only to those brave and hardy enough to endure a permanent winter. Most of those living in these areas are dwarves, who have proven resistant to the weather. Other areas have relatively mild storm conditions, and are home to a more diverse cast of races and creatures. Few cities exists in these frozen wastes, but the ones which do are inhabited by a warm hearted folks who keep their noses out of the southern politics. Up here, there's no time to worry about who's leading who and whatnot. Not when you could drop dead from hypothermia, or get mauled by a polar bear.

Geography

Snowy. It's difficult to tell what ice has land under it and what is sea, but the icefloes will give you a good idea. Stick to the paths carved in the snow and you'll hopefully be fine, and gods have ye if you get caught in a blizzard.

Fauna & Flora

A few firs mark the land, but vegetation is very rare. Most of the animals here are arctic types with thick fat. Beware the ruthless predators of the north!
