Visionleaf
This plant excretes a syrup-like fluid from it's leaves. When it's leaves are brewed with hot water as tea, the imbiber of said tea falls under a hallucinogenic trance. Those who've consumed Visionleaf say that it's visions show other planes, and some say that you can even communicate with the dead when consumed with a medium guiding your journey. Visionleaf is widely considered illegal, as it was one of many factors thought to have led to the worship if the demons and the Eternal Night. Those found harvesting the crop are severely punished, and in some locales, their execution may be ordered on the spot and their fields and estate burned.
