The Fellowship strategizes on how best to attack the tower where Vrood is encamped. A plan is hatched for Kyrrn and the Unworthy Soul to fly down the middle of the tower and open a portal through the wall of the tower to let everyone else in. Vanamoinen will bar the door with a collection of boulders from a bag of holding that he possesses. All this goes according to plan. Once everything is set in motion, Kyrrn triggered an event horizon to catch all the skeletal archers. Inside the tower is a tent with a trap door going down. Vrood is nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, a pitched battle ensues with a pair of giant crawling hands that seemingly have some innate wizard-like powers. Daniel and a few of the Fellowship's werewolf allies are struck by nausea. Kyrrn is robbed of her air and she crumples to the ground unconscious and nearly dead.
