Azmar
Founded: 1,115 MION
Population: 2500
Purpose: Memorial
Militia: Welters
Built over the arcane rune which bound Amzar, the city is a somber reminder of the Titan’s devastation. First and foremost, the city is a memorial of the thousands that perished centered on a magnificent garden. Stringent rules are in place to protect the gardens and, most importantly, to retain the integrity of the runic symbol, as duplicating such magic is only possible with the aid of Mion.
Azmar hosts the yearly Remembrance tradition, witnessing thousands of residents completing the pilgrimage to pay their respects. Originally designed as a memorial, more pilgrims settle on the outskirts each year, causing tension between its purpose and becoming a living city.
City Dynamics
Vying for Control. Though traditionally controlled by an elder council, the increase in popularity and the yearly continental event has spurred Ningel into attempts to take a more heavy-handed approach. Such efforts are the first of their kind, raising tensions between the local population and the Sky Marshal.
Significant Location
Azmar’s Approach Memorial Gardens. The city’s crown jewel, the gardens are excellently maintained year-round, magically enchanted to remain green despite climate conditions. Its centerpiece features a 50ft long reflecting pool designed for individuals to look into themselves and remember the lives lost.
