Fool’s March and Seameet

Founded: 267 REM Population: 500 Purpose: Resort Current Ruler: Oligarchy Militia: Private Guard A poor person’s Deslote, Fool’s March was the original attempt to create a frozen resort to detract from the painful memory of all that was lost during the Great Freeze. Located on the northeast tip of the continent, the landscape remains encased in snow and ice throughout the year, with only a tiny population of roamers desiring such a cold location. The territory is characterized and publicized as the largest privately owned territory. However, this claim is supported by a lack of contestation and not legal merit.   With the constant need for branding, the once-called Walkabout Freeze was reimagined following the arrival of the King and Queen of Seashire, who exclaimed, “One would be foolish to march to your resort,” a phrase which was placed in all announcements, eventually being shortened to the name Fool’s March as it stands today. Doing what was believed to be impossible, the company was able to create the most popular freeze-related excursion resort, a safe haven for events without the brutality of a true freeze. Those wealthy enough to reach Fool’s March are welcomed into the halls of the elite, a vain title for the ultra wealth.   Seameet, its sister location, was established as a staging location for a twenty-five-day excursion to the base of the Frozen Slopes Traveling in a uniquely enchanted luxury expansion carriage, participants have regularly said the journey was just as exciting as the destination, as clients stop to view the beautiful landscape, participate in hunting expeditions, and visit memorials of living statues forever frozen.   In its own right, Seameet has become another destination of choice, allowing partial excursions and catering to the middle class who will never reach Fool’s March. Both locations hold a sizable permanent population, each dedicated and catering to the Fool’s March Expedition and Frozen Sports Company. The grandness of the journey and destination has made working with the companies the high of professional entertainment, bards boasting of their selection and number of tours.   It’s all in the experience The region is dedicated to catering to its wealthy clients, ensuring all facets of their stay are enjoyable and memorable. Nothing is off limits to the rich, including requests and events which would prove immoral in a traditional society. To the client, discretion is critical.   Significant Locations Frozen Slopes. An entire magically created mountain range. It is rumored that a secret society of materialistic druids calls the mountains their home, using their gifts to show the area in fresh snow or creating the enchanted hot springs. Each mountain is dedicated to a new experience, and its visitors are completely immersed and separated from others. Activities include but are not limited to skiing, snowboarding, avalanche slides, survival training, and specifically tailored events at the client’s request.   Hot Springs. The ultimate luxury, the springs are set within a valley offering unparalleled views and an experience that is boasted about within the closed circle of the elite. While the main activity defers between clients, anyone who vacations in Fool’s March ensures they find their way into these springs.   Client Arrival Options While traditional means of travel are used, Seameet and Fool’s March practitioners specialize in teleportation magic, providing instant access to their elite clients.
