White Elderbloom
This plant has a short, thick stem covered in needles. It leads to a handful of flowers, each with a thick bubble-like vacuole. Each flower is just over a decimetre in diameter. These thicker parts just below the flowers are filled with extremely nutritious nectar. Just a spoonful can count as enough food and water for a day.
The needles on the stem of the plant are used to pick up water, but it is also where the plant pushes toxins from the nectar before ejecting the poisonous needle. This means getting to the nectar requires at least a little bit of care. The stem itself is light green while the flowers are a cream-white.
