World under revision! This world was originally written purely as a Dugeons and DragonsĀ® setting. It is (slowly) being rewritten to be system agnostic When things don't seem to work togewther, this is likely why.
The Feywild is the home of the fey, but it was separated from the Material Plane because of how it was simply too intense. It is unknown if the fey creates the Feywild as a result of existing, or if the fey are the result of the plane's energies. Fey are inherently magical by nature and they have a strong connection to the Weave even if they don't think of it like that. Nearly all of them have abilities that would otherwise bend the other natural laws. And even the way they function is typically tied to magic more than anything else. For instance, a kind of fey creature might require tears of mourning for sustenance rather than food. Others can trade memories as if they were commodities, weave their hair into a lance, or another million possibilities.
The way Fey thinks can appear very alien to most humanoids. Givin one's word is sometimes binding for Fey and they need to be able to find ways out of a deal. This, together with many of the traits they are born with, gives the creatures a reputation for trickery and even direct falsehood. In reality, the type is far more diverse than nearly any other category of creatures. Never assume that one fey is anything like those you've met before.
