Trophatia

There was once a king, king of Uthwen, but some called him a dictator. He had no plans for this kingdom, as he was a selfish person that only wanted the best for himself. But something strange had been dug up, deep in the dark, dirty mines of Uthwen. It was this glowing, pulsating, white crystal. At first, when the miners found it, it seemed to be a tiny object, but as they kept digging they noticed it was as large as the size of a whale! But the mines were tight, and the crystal object wouldn’t be able to fit the mine. These brave miners worked day and night, making the mine bigger to get this crystal out of the cave. It might’ve been a big crystal, but it didn’t really seem to have much weight. After 2 months of hard work, they finally got the crystal out of the mines. They brought the crystal to the king, and as he inspected it, he decided to smash it, to see what was inside, making it pulsating like it was alive. When the crystal was smashed, it smashed into four separate parts, that got thrown so far from the force, they flew all the way to the distant lands, or some have called it realms. They each flew to different spots, and based on those spots, gained their different powers. Now the king had put a bounty for anybody who could find the four crystals, but over the centuries, the crystals were slowly forgotten...   There was once this decent-sized family. It was four children, two parents, and two grandparents. They lived in a small house, and every day, were barely getting by. It was a sad situation to see, yet this was most of Uthwen city. The whole place was in shambles, taxpayers taxing too much money, not helping the city at all. But this family, they knew a story, told long ago by their great great great great grandfather. The story was of the crystal, that was smashed into four pieces. Now, these four children were very curious kids, running around the city, observing every little thing they saw. Their names were Jonathan, Curtis, Priscilla, and Zachary Vaughan. But as these children grew older, they lost their curiosity, and went to boring mundane jobs, to help their family get along every day. But one day, when Curtis was out to get meat from the butcher, he saw this very old paper, crumbly and yellowed, and it was a bounty, a bounty for the crystals! This means the tale was true! Curtis quickly ran home with his meat and the paper, excited to tell his family about this new find! When he showed them, his parents weren’t that excited, but his brothers and sister were! The four children, eldest being twenty, youngest being 15. These four children decided to take off on their own, to travel to the distant realms to search for these crystals. It took them 4 months of intense travel to arrive at the realms. Once they finally arrived, they set off to find the crystals in separate directions. They didn’t have any hints or any riddles to help them, as nobody knew where these crystals resided. Jonathan was the first to find one of the crystals. Jonathan was very strong and was the eldest of the four. He found the water crystal under the ocean next to the mountains. Then Curtis found the next crystal, which resided at the top of the mountains. Curtis was 19 and was the most curious and smart. Then Priscilla found the third crystal in the thick woods. She was 17, and was very good with plants and cooking, and could identify any plant. Zachary found the fourth and final crystal in the sludgy, marshy, swamp. Zachary was the youngest, being 15, and was a very closed person. None of his brothers or sisters knew much about him. What they did with the crystals, well that’s a story for another time...
