Annabelle Elizabeth St. Hilare

Annabelle is a non-Catholic student who attends Benedictine Catholic High School. She finds the teachings of the Church to be archaic and constantly fights with Fr. Benedict about Church Teachings, especially around Sexual Ethics. When she discovers that Brett is gay, she joins forces with Priyanka Ramesh to start a Gay-Straight Alliance, an idea that is met with heavy resistance from the conservative and traditional Benedictine faculty.

Annabelle has two siblings, older brother Ian St Hilare and younger brother Ethan St. Hilare.
Annabelle’s parents, Sebastian and Rose, were high-school sweethearts. 

• Sebastian St. Hilare is supportive of his three children. He is a patient, wise, LGBTQA ally and single dad who does not struggle with two gay sons and loves them much. Sebastian did not remarry but chose to focus on his children and career so they could have a good life. The kids have encouraged Sebastian to date, but he is unwilling to "replace" Than's mom with someone else.
• Rose St. Hilare died after losing a year-long battle with breast cancer when Ethan was five years old. Ian remembers her, but Annabelle and Ethan do not.
