Mirál Berry

Mirál berry (also known as Twist-Dream and Bend-Sight berry) is a vine-like, low-growing plant crawling over the landscape in the Singing Hills or southern Nalidin.

Preferring stable, windless surroundings it's mostly seen in the shadowed crevices formed between rocks and boulders on the inland side of the Singing Hills. Though it can and does, at times, climb over tree trunks, the plant is known to form a nest-like structure around the foot of trees and thickets instead.

The various nicknames of mirál berry all tend to come from one of its most potent traits: hallucinations and altered state of mind caused by poison within every part of the plant. Most of the bitter-tasting poison is located within the dark red berry clusters, but in larger quantities root and even leaves can cause symptoms. Though most avoid it, mirál berries have been used in folk alchemy and herbalism ever since the Silent Age, particularly by the followers of Bhasulud.
