Diu'somnia Luce'torami

The Long Dream of shiny Torami

"So you wonder about the long dream induced by the shining fruit of the Torami?"
High mentor Dami Grabemi goes along the nicks of his old mask as the focus of his eyes phases far away, chuckling a bit as he continues.

"Albeit being a certainly live changing experience it is to be taken with utmost care, as when you look into things your mind can't bear you'll loose it for sure. The first documentation I'm aware of is also the first catastrophe induced by them as a whole village ingested Torami bread and besides almost dying from dehydration in their state the Lucemi not affected had huge troubles collecting the crazed ones when they awoke from their dream, some were found with signs of self harm, some dead, some never. You should read my research report on their topic, it's over there"

I'm almost certain mentor Dami experienced the Diusomnia.

In the first handed down story of the Torami shining and being ingested they neither knew they hold a presumed gift of the gods in their hands nor did they know the circumstances which led to the condition of their nourishing lichen growing on the Areami. It nearly led to widespread famine as the Lucemi were superstitiously debating over the cause, some saying their land has been poisoned possibly in revenge by our deity. It took a few weeks until the glowing of the Torami has been reported to be completely diminished. That also was about when Heren Medemi awoke from his dreams. Unable to conclude in clear words what he has seen he showed that the not glowing fruit of the Torami is safe to consume again, even though the others tried to stop him.
"I knew my ancestor Heremi was the first high mentor, but I never knew he was the first to witness the Diusomnia without harm!" I stated overwhelmed turning around to mentor Dami. He chuckled again "He was and it was not a big surprise that another successor of his lineage was gifted with his farsight, my dear friend and scholar"

Causes

Today we know one reason to let the Torami and some other plants shine in certainity. Never in my life, nor the life of my mentor, the gloom of the Torami spreading across the whole of Edi was seen. But then many years ago when I was travelling to the mountains with my mentor we witnessed the black spot in the nightsky, Atupun, open his eye and shine in distant gloomy light. Just then when we were standing on top of a mountainrange we were gifted by the sight of the Torami enlightening all of Edi as the gods blessed the ground under our feet and up to today we never know when they will do again.

Symptoms

The Diusomnia is seen as a wondrous, divine state and thus it developed that it's held as personal experience, even more personal than the unmasking. It's a dialogue with the gods and what they gift you is yours to bear and only to be shared if needed for the personal wellbeing or for research. Also it is hard to explain in our minor language what you experience in the dream.
In common for everyone ingesting the Luce'Torami is, that at first they feel vitality rushing through their bodies, then they fall into a stasis with opened eyes and experience three major distinguishable states, the length and states seem to correlate with the amount ingested, how bright their shine is, but also on personal differences.

The Worldly Voyage
With minor amounts ingested the stasis takes about half a day to a day. Almost everyone staying firm in the dream reports that they feel light as a feather, dance around the meadows, hills and mountains of Edi accompanied by what feels like the souls of Ami and Emi dancing with them and exchanging words and feelings not describable, but they feel connected to their surrounding like never before.

The Far Voyage
A bigger or stronger portion ingested results in a stasis in the range of one to two weeks. The people have to be cared for and start in the Worldy Voyage, but start to travel further. The ones that report to be filled with panic to the visions beginning tend to forget what happened, others that stand firm describe kingdoms of pure light and the gods holding them in their warm embrace, nobody being capable of further explaining the feelings witnessed.

The Kiss of Gods
Lucemi taking a step over the second threshold were never to be interviewed again. Almost everybody who tried, be it accidental, falls in a seemingly ever ongoing stasis and somewhen you can witness their last breath leaving their body. Only a few times it has been reported that they utter some cheerful, happy last words and shortly after their body melts to nothing while emitting a bright golden light.
